• 1 tbsp of bourbon
• 1 tbsp of maple syrup
• 1/2 tbsp of milk/soy milk
• 1-2 cups of confectioner sugar
In a medium mixing bowl, pour in the bourbon, syrup, and milk. Take a whisk and slowly mix in the sugar, adding more sugar to make the icing thicker, until you get your desired consistency.
Be sure to be mindful of your liquid:sugar ratio as you could possibly end up making quite a lot of frosting/icing/glaze depending on how much liquid there is.
I used this recipe to make an icing for my vegan pumpkin oatmeal cookies. It would also be great on sweet breads and muffins!
