Let’s be real- Mark Bittman is an American household name. His cookbooks often share a special spot next to Julia Child. His commentary can be found in the New York Times. This home cook and journalist (his words) is an outspoken food advocate. Bittman’s recipes are delicious and many are easy to make. Needless to say, I am a fan that finds inspiration in his creations.
In his most recent article, he writes about the infamous New Year’s Resolution (NYR)- weight loss. It is also the same NYR that is rarely full achieved. Bittman suggests adopting a semi-vegan diet; choose a dish or two from his list and incorporate them into the meal rotation. While they may appear to be shockingly simple, the complex tastes featured in each dish will satisfy your tastebuds and waistline.
